Tons of great young boxers in St. Joseph - Marcus Garza - tuff young man thats realy coming along. Good, hard, and straight right hand.
Tristan Wagner - I like him a ton and believe he has tremedous potential.Wish he came out more, think he could help himself as well as several of our kids get better.Good young man also.
Powell Cornelius - Great kid, tuff left hander with pop. Improves a ton each day.
Chris Gann - He is like my son.Traveled many miles together. Tuff kid with a great work ethic. Slick, smooth style! Based on a point system used for amatuer tournments by the southern boxing association as well as severl other amatuer boxing associations he is the number 1 amatuer boxer in St. Joseph pound for pound.

Nuff said about the others.

I would have to go with Tommy Huitt-Johnson. Must competive boxer on the National scene from St. Joseph. Hate to brag but gonna, if you are talking pound for pound - Elijah "Boss" Green would be the best at this moment. In 2009/10 has won the Arkansas Invitational in Sheridian, 2nd at Jounior Golden Gloves, won the Ringside World, won the National Silver Gloves. He couldn't beat any of the kids named becasue of age but based on accomplishments (pound for pound) he knocks them out this year. I think we need more criteria of what does it mean when you say best boxer in St. Joseph? Are we looking at accomplishments, records, or do we just like the way the boxer does his or her business in the ring. Flashy style would be Colby and Riley, they bring nothing but heat and I like that style. Tommy and Hartmen if your looking for more of an Olympic style boxer. Not crowd pleasing but fits the style that amatuer judges are looking for.

i just heard that byron is poppin off on facebook about KOing Rob. Byron do you really think that Rob will come outta retirement just to train for weeks and months for just 3 rounds of work? If 3 rounds? For your kids sake Byron dont F with him. He might just kill you next time man. And ill be the first to say it that Ive seen all of these kids fight and nobody can beat Chase Calloway. So drop that silly discussion of whos the best amateur in st. joe.

I ask for one, best amateur, and I get like 5,6,7 names of guys who can be good! Anyways, I narrow it down, I get some kid named Colby, Riley, Chase, Thomas or Tommmy (figure its the same person), and Chris. So out of these five pick one!

THE BEST IS MY 14 YO SON CHASE CALLOWAY IN MY OPINION......... HE CAN'T BEAT ANY RIGHT NOW PROBABLY AS HE JUST TURNED 14 IN NOVEMBER BUT JUST WAIT AN SEE ................ THE TRUTH IS COMING AND HIS BIG MOUTH DADDY AIN'T GONNA SHUT UP AS I ALREADY PROVED WHO THE BEST IS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'D SAY AT AGE OF 16 NOBODY BEATS KID DYNAMITE NOBODY NOBODY NOBODY...... I'M SAYING IT FIRST NOBODY ........ !
